It is with great and sincere pleasure that I announce to the 4 of you that haven’t heard yet that the Nussbaums are moving to within the actual Seattle city limits!!! We’re moving to a neighborhood that’s called Pinehurst. It’s north of Northgate, along the Roosevelt corridor. We’ve lived here in Lynnwood for almost two years at a house that’s quite big, but with leaky faucets, unsealed doors, trashy floors, and frighteningly poor wiring. Plus, it’s in Lynnwood, a city that’s basically one good mall surrounded by trailer parks (and not the nice ones, either). Of course, the real reason is that, after informing us that he would not fix the fence that had now fallen into our neighbors yard, our landlord raised the rent.
The only thing that is going to be bad about moving is that we live next door to the greatest neighbor EVAR. She has been the epitome of wonderful, baking banana bread and ginormous cookies, helping Brenda fix our house (since I am woefully incapable of doing more than holding a hammer), taking care of Sally the Wonder Dog, and just being all-around awesome. Plus, like I’ve said before, she has the world’s second- and third-best dogs, Tucker and Maggie.
Anyway, Moving Day is December 6th, so mark it on your calendar and remember: I’ve helped you move!
